Mahogany Manor Apartments – 130 Units + Six 4-Plex Buildings | New Construction | Full Exterior Siding System, 450+ Windows, 1,230+ Doors, and Full Interior & Exterior Painting | In Partnership with Dawson Construction

Alpine Exteriors proudly partnered with Dawson Construction, one of Whatcom County’s most respected and established general contractors, on the successful delivery of Mahogany Manor Apartments — a major ground-up, new construction project consisting of 130 apartment units and six additional 4-plex buildings.

Spanning over 12 months and executed in multi-phase scheduling, this project showcased Alpine’s capacity to handle complex, high-volume scopes across framing, envelope protection, window and door installation, and full-scale painting — all while coordinating closely with Dawson’s superintendents, project managers, and trade schedules.

🔨 Scope of Work:

Exterior Siding System:

We installed a comprehensive James Hardie® fiber cement siding package, including:

• 8 ¼” Hardie Lap Siding
• Hardie Architectural Panels
• Staggered Edge Shingles
• Board and Batten Vertical Siding

All siding was installed over a rainscreen assembly using Tyvek® DrainWrap™ WRB, which provides advanced moisture drainage and long-term protection for multi-family buildings in the Pacific Northwest’s wet climate.

Window & Door Installation:

Alpine Exteriors was responsible for the complete installation of:

• 450+ windows
• 1,230+ doors, including all interior doors, entry systems, and patio doors

Each opening was flashed, sealed, and installed to code, ensuring optimal performance and energy compliance across all units.

Interior & Exterior Painting:

We completed full-scale painting for both interiors and exteriors, utilizing over 2,500 gallons of Sherwin-Williams® primers and coatings. This included:

• All exterior siding, trim, and accents
• All interior walls, ceilings, and door systems
• Complete interior door priming and painting

Our paint crews followed strict prep and application standards for durability, consistency, and a premium-grade finish on every surface.

This project involved thousands of labor hours and required multi-crew coordination across disciplines, with dozens of skilled Alpine Exteriors personnel onsite daily — including certified siding installers, carpenters, window and door specialists, professional painters, and project management staff.
