This comprehensive exterior remodel combined both performance and aesthetics with a mix of James Hardie® 8 ¼” Primed Cedarmill Lap Siding and Hardie® Straight Edge Shingle siding accents, creating timeless curb appeal with a modern coastal edge. We completed the siding system with primed 5/4×4 trim, 5/4×8 belly bands, and a full Milgard® window and door replacement, ensuring energy efficiency and uniform design throughout.

The project began with the removal of outdated, water-damaged siding. Our team uncovered significant rot behind walls and around old window frames, a result of years of exposure and improper flashing. After performing full rot remediation and reframing where needed, we wrapped the home in HardieWrap® weather barrier to protect the structure from future moisture intrusion.

To elevate the finish, we painted the entire exterior in a custom color using Sherwin-Williams® Resilience® paint, formulated for high-moisture environments like the Pacific Northwest. This paint provides excellent mildew resistance, UV protection, and long-term color retention, making it an ideal partner to James Hardie siding.

As part of the envelope restoration, we also performed partial deck repairs, correcting failing joists and replacing damaged deck boards to ensure structural integrity and safety.
